Hi Guy's, hope you give me some advice on Z3 please, while I was replacing removing the old roof and I accidentally forced and cracked the rear plastic bow which was mounted with the rear body frame with 4xbolts followed by the 2nd bow to mount with the rest 14xbolts, sorry my questions are did you apply BUTYL tape on the 1st and in between the bows to secure all the 18 bolts please, Cheers?

Man, that Z3 is gonna look nice with those wheels. You need struts, though. Yours are dead. Get some Bilstein B4 or KYB. The Bilstein B8s are too stiff for a daily driver. Where did you get your Megan springs and what are the part numbers? The Megan Racing website doesnt have part numbers for my 97 Z3 1.9. Please make a video with the wheels on. Those wheels would look sick all polished.

so, the Soku inserts just keep the bold from moving up/down-side/side, yes? essentially "locking" the diff in place on the top. What's better, these aluminum inserts or the poly void-filler inserts? I would think the solid diff carrier on the bottom would have the most affect, controlling side and pitch of the rear diff.

I was hoping to see how you managed with the seal in the back... in the guide he says that he ended up breaking the seal when he removed it because of the adhesive? I think? Anyways, don't really feel like spending a couple hundred extra for the seal.. how did you manage?

Man, I saw videos that's recommending removing the whole assembly when replacing the front springs. Yours and your dad's technique was way more faster. I just wished you put it on the video. Was it hard putting it back after replacing the springs?

Any idea what that other bolt hole on broth braces is for? The little hole on the side?

That shop cuts too much corners, multiple ppl have bad experiences there including myself.

I know Cusco makes some nice products, but do the USDM cars with the rear crash bar need the rear power brace? JDM (and other markets) don't get that crash bar, so the rear power brace helps a lot. I would think the crash bar helps minimize flex in the back as it is a substantial piece of metal (mounted in the same location). And now you have no rear crash bar on your daily...

Alone, they are a small part that may not be noticed, but as you add on additional (Cusco) braces, the effect becomes more noticeable...the question is, how many "blue" parts are needed to complete the picture? It seems that Cusco has a replacement brace/bar for every location on the car. What about one that links the front lca bolts? Then there is all of the braces for the rear too. Madness I tell you.... 👍
